Monthly Community Potlucks

Trikone Chicago hosts monthly community potlucks to provide a welcoming and affirming space for LGBTQ+ South Asians and allies to gather, build connections, and strengthen our sense of belonging. These potlucks are typically held at the residence of a fellow community member, offering an informal and comfortable setting where individuals can engage in meaningful conversations, share experiences, and celebrate their identities.

Regular potlucks play a vital role in community-building. They create opportunities for people to meet new friends, support one another, and foster a deeper sense of connection. For many, these gatherings serve as a safe space to be their authentic selves, away from societal pressures and expectations. Sharing a meal together is more than just a social activity—it is a way to cultivate solidarity, nurture friendships, and strengthen the bonds within our community.

While these gatherings follow a potluck format, everyone is welcome, regardless of whether they bring food. Our goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment where all feel valued and accepted.
